José Luis Inglés, clarinetist and interpreter of a sparkling and energetic stage presence, sees himself engaged in a rich concert activity at an international level, offering a variety of music ranging from classical to the most contemporary repertoire.
Born in Cartagena (Spain) in 1994, he began studying music at a very early age and was followed by important
clarinetists, including Yehuda Gilad, Ricardo Morales, José Franch Ballester, Johannes Peitz and Andreas Sunden.
He graduated under Josep Fuster from the ESMUC (Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya) in Barcelona and is part of youth and professional orchestras such as the Catalonian Youth Orchestra (JONC) and Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE), Barcelona City Orchestra and Catalonian National Orchestra, Stringendo Orchestra (Zurich), European Philarmonic of Switzerland (Montreux) and Basel Musical Theatre Orchestra, to name a few.
Josè Luis has won several international competitions: Entre cuerdas y metales (2012), Higini Angels Chamber Music Competition (2016), Villa Molina Young Artist Competition (2016), The North International Competition, Stockholm (2018).
He is artistic director of the project “Camerata Rhein”, which focuses on the interpretation of classical chamber repertoire and is inspired by the artistic-cultural environment of the city of Basel.
